The Community Mental Health Training & Technical Assistance Symposium is designed to inform and train current Behavioral Health Providers regarding best practices in the delivery of community mental health care. The expectations are that providers who attend will receive relevant information and skills and will benefit from interactive training. Both days are a mixture of workshops and training geared toward providers of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and providers of Adult Mental Health Services, both days will include multiple workshops with relevant areas of focus for both services. Workshops are presented by subject-matter experts in a Leadership Track or a Clinical Track. These tracks are designed to:

On August 5th there will be Lunch Topic Round Tables where all participants will have the opportunity to gather with colleagues, sit and discuss areas of interest over lunch. The following are the discussion topics;
• Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Community Support Team (CST): Team Approach to Community-Based Services • Supported Employment (SE): Supporting Persons Seeking Employment • Case Management (CM)/Intensive Case Management (ICM): Coordinating Care • Residential Support Services • Transition, Re-entry and Jail Diversion • Georgia Families: Amerigroup • Georgia Families: Wellcare • Georgia Families: Peach State • Georgia Families 360: Amerigroup A buffet lunch will be available for purchase both days within the hotel for $14. Although not mandatory, the working lunch is highly recommended as staff and conference presenters will be facilitating discussions focused on various symposium topics. Tickets for the buffet lunch will be available for sale at each morning’s registration. (cash and credit cards only, no checks) The hotel will offer a different buffet selection each day and special dietary requirements can be accommodated. (Please inquire when purchasing your lunch).
